The maximum temperature limit for continuous operation is indicated based on the condition of maintaining cable functionality throughout itsservice life.
For the outer encapsulation, the actual service life is determined by the chemical and abrasive composition, temperature, and pressure of the surrounding gas-liquid medium.
When operating the cable in conditions to which the outer sheath has limited resistance, violation of its geometric dimensions and integrity is possible.
When selecting the cable sheath material, specific downhole conditions and the relative resistance of materials according to the table below must be considered.
