1. Deep/Ultra-Deep Wells (depth > 2500m): The 4kN breaking strength cannot withstand the total tension from the cable's own weight + tool weight, leading to high risk of cable breakage.
2. High-Deviation Wells (> 45°) / Long-Horizontal-Section Wells (horizontal section > 500m): The 3.2mm small-diameter cable has limited torsion and friction resistance; it is prone to tangling and wear in high-deviation/long-horizontal sections, and the minimum bending diameter (320mm) cannot adapt to high build-up rate trajectories.
3. Ultra-High Temperature Wells (bottomhole temperature > 150℃): Exceeding the rated temperature will cause aging of the cable protection layer and increased fiber signal attenuation, leading to monitoring failure.
4. Highly Corrosive Wells (high H₂S/CO₂ concentration): No special corrosion-resistant customization; the conventional 316L stainless steel tube cannot withstand highly corrosive media for a long time, making armor rusting likely.
5. Large-Bore Wells (wellbore diameter > 150mm): The small-diameter cable is prone to swinging and colliding with the wellbore in large-bore wells, resulting in insufficient protection performance and no adaptation advantage.

This cable system is designed for medium-shallow wells with a maximum depth of 2500m. Beyond this depth, the 4kN breaking strength is insufficient to withstand the combined tension of the cable's own weight and tool weight, creating a significant risk of cable breakage.
The system is suitable for low-deviation directional wells with a build-up section of 45° or less, and for short horizontal sections up to 500m. In higher-deviation or longer horizontal sections, the 3.2mm small-diameter cable is prone to tangling, wear, and its minimum bending diameter of 320mm may not accommodate high build-up rate wellbore trajectories.

The cable contains 2 single-mode fibers (B1) and 2 multi-mode fibers (A1a). This configuration supports both Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) and Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) signal transmission, making it well-suited for a broad range of downhole monitoring applications in shallow oil & gas wells and coalbed methane wells.
The cable's 3.2mm outer diameter is designed for wellbores with a diameter of 80mm or greater, including φ73mm and φ89mm thin-walled cased wells. In large-bore wells exceeding 150mm in diameter, the cable may swing and collide with the wellbore wall, reducing protection performance and eliminating the advantage of the small-diameter design.
