Specialized Seminar on Optical Fiber Logging Technology
To further enhance the theoretical understanding and practical application capabilities of optical fiber logging, and to advance the development of smart oil and gas wells, the Optical Fiber Logging Technology Symposium, hosted by the Logging Professional Committee of the Chinese Petroleum Society, was successfully held from April 18 to 19, 2024, at Jiangsu Huaneng Cable Co., Ltd.
The event welcomed 115 representatives from China National Petroleum Corporation, China Petrochemical Corporation, China National Offshore Oil Corporation, universities such as Peking University, Jiangsu Huaneng Cable Co., Ltd., and several private enterprises. Chen Bao, Vice Chairman of the Logging Professional Committee of the Chinese Petroleum Society and Deputy General Manager of China Petroleum Logging Co., Ltd., delivered the opening speech. During the symposium, 14 senior experts presented academic papers on new methods and technologies in optical fiber logging. The event also featured lively discussions on the progress, application level, and future prospects of optical fiber logging technology.
