1.Conventional Oil & Gas Wells
Adaptable Well Types: Medium-shallow vertical wells (depth ≤ 3000m), low-deviation directional wells (build-up section ≤ 50°), shallow to medium-depth cased wells (φ89mm/φ114mm casing), open-hole exploration wells
Typical Applications: Daily monitoring of conventional production wells, supplementary logging of old wells, exploration logging of shallow to medium-depth oil & gas fields, production dynamic monitoring of cased wells
2. Unconventional Oil & Gas Wells
Adaptable Well Types:Shallow to medium-depth coalbed methane (CBM) wells (depth ≤ 2500m), shallow shale gas vertical wells, low-cost development wells for tight oil & gas
Typical Applications: CBM well production monitoring, shale gas exploration stage logging, tight oil & gas reservoir monitoring, environmental monitoring of unconventional well sites
3. Other Exploration & Engineering Wells
Adaptable Well Types: Shallow geothermal wells (bottomhole temperature ≤ 150℃, depth ≤ 2500m), hydrogeological exploration wells, small-diameter monitoring wells in underground coal mines, shallow water injection wells
Typical Applications:Temperature monitoring of shallow geothermal development, groundwater level and quality monitoring, coal mine underground gas concentration monitoring, water injection profile monitoring of water injection wells
Strictly Inapplicable Scenarios
1.Deep/ultra-deep wells (depth > 3000m): 7kN breaking strength cannot withstand the total tension from the cable's own weight + logging tool weight, leading to high risk of cable breakage.
2.High-deviation wells (> 50°)/long-horizontal-section horizontal wells (horizontal section > 800m): Insufficient torsion and wear resistance; prone to cable sticking, wrapping or excessive wear in high-curvature or long-distance horizontal sections.
3.Ultra-high temperature wells (bottomhole temperature > 150℃): Exceeding the rated temperature causes aging of the insulation layer and increased fiber signal attenuation, resulting in monitoring failure.
4.Highly corrosive wells (high H₂S/CO₂ content): Lack of special anti-corrosion coating, conventional 316L stainless steel cannot long-term resist strong corrosive media, leading to armor rust and fiber damage.
5.Ultra-high pressure wells (well pressure > 70MPa): Exceeding the rated pressure of the cable, risking seal failure and structural damage.
6.Short-radius horizontal wells (build-up rate > 12°/100ft): Minimum bending diameter (600mm) cannot adapt to high build-up rate trajectories, easily causing fiber breakage.
